DO ONE THING WELL
Track and download signed documents
Transcript (English)
Once a signature request is sent, the request page brings its progress and finished documents together. In this lesson, we'll track our practice orientation sign-off, find the reminder control, and review the signed PDF. Open Signatures and select the request you want to check.
Confirm the document title before following up. Our example uses fictional recipients and a non-binding practice document. Start with the request status at the top, then look at each signer.
In a sequential request, Sent means that person's invitation has been issued. Pending means their turn has not started. Here, Alex is Sent and Jordan is Pending.
Jordan must wait for Alex to sign. After Alex signs, the page shows Alex as Signed and Jordan as Sent. The overall request remains In Progress because Jordan's required signature is still outstanding.
The signer row also records when a document was viewed and when it was signed. Use these timestamps alongside the status badge to understand what has happened. When an invited signer needs a follow-up, find the bell beside their name.
On this screen, the bell is beside Jordan, who is still awaiting a signature. Choose that bell to send a reminder. Check the recipient first: this action sends immediately.
Klarstig.ai allows reminders for Sent or Viewed recipients on an active request. After a successful send, look for the Reminder sent confirmation.
If Klarstig.ai says a reminder was sent recently, wait before trying again. This walkthrough shows the reminder control; it does not send another message.
Next, review the Audit trail. The event list records the request being created and sent, then recipient views and signatures. Read the event names and timestamps in order.
Once both required signatures are recorded, the request becomes Completed. Check that each required recipient is marked Signed. The Completion and integrity section records the completion time and the document fingerprint.
It also confirms that a completion certificate is appended to the signed document. Choose Download signed PDF at the top of the completed request. Open the downloaded document and review the signature blocks, printed names and dates.
This example contains both Alex's and Jordan's signatures. Continue to the appended Completion Certificate. Check the document title, recipients and recorded event history.
The certificate is part of this PDF, so keep the complete file together. Your next step is to review one request in your workspace. Check its status, follow up only with an eligible signer, and download the complete PDF after signing is finished.
