What this guide helps you do
Pick the field that collects each answer in the right format.
Who this applies to
Anyone editing a form.
Before you start
- Use a section heading to split long forms; it does not collect an answer.
- Do not use text fields to collect card numbers or passwords.
Steps
- Open the form and go to the builder tab.
- Add a field and pick its type: short text, long text, email, phone, number, date, select, multi-select, checkbox, radio, yes/no, address, file upload, acknowledgment, signature, section heading or hidden.
- Set the label, optional help text and whether the field is required, then save.
What you should see
Respondents see input suited to each question, and answers are validated by type (for example email and number).
